Ingredients#
- 1 Stick x Butter
- 1 Cup x Sugar, white granulated
- 1/2 Cup x Brown Sugar
- 2 Cups x Flour, All Purpose
- 1 Tsp x Baking Soda
- 2 x Eggs
- 1 TSP x Vanilla extract
- 3 x Bananas (overripe)
- 1/2 Cup x Walnuts, chopped
- 1/2 Cup x Pecans, chopped
- Salt
Process#
In advance#
- Get out Equipment
- Leave butter & eggs out
Prepare#
- Heat Oven to 350*F
- Using Butter & a towel, Grease Loaf Pan
- Put Parchment Paper on Baking Sheet
Toast nuts#
- Heat Oven 350*F
- Spread Nuts on Baking Sheet
- Put Baking Sheet with Nuts into Heated Oven
- Toss Nuts (Every 3 MINUTES)
- Cook until the Nuts are golden-brown and toasted (8 to 12 MINUTES TOTAL).
- Transfer the Toasted Nuts to Bowl (to prevent further browning)
Mix Batter#
- In a Large Bowl, mix the Dry Ingredients in one Bowl
- 1/2 Cup x Sugar, white granulated
- 1/2 Cup x Brown Sugar
- 2 Cups x Flour, All Purpose
- 1 Tsp x Baking Soda
- Make a well in the center of the Dry Ingredients.
- In a Medium Bowl, mix the Wet Ingredients
- 1 Stick x Butter
- 2 Eggs
- 1 TSP x Vanilla extract
- 3 Bananas
- Add the Wet Ingredients to the Dry Ingredients
- Mix just until combined (don’t overmix, or it be will too dense).
- Dust the Toasted Nuts with Flour (to keep them suspended in Batter)
- Add Toasted Nuts to Batter
- Leave some remaining for garnish
Prepare Batter#
- Add Batter to Greased Loaf Pan
- Garnish with Toasted Nuts
- Bang on Loaf Pan remove bubbles
Bake#
- Bake Loaf Pan in Oven for 70-80’MINUTES at 350*F
- Verify: toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean
Serve#
- Let the Banana Bread sit for 15 minutes
- Serve!
